Salman Asif Siddiqui is the founder and director of Educational Resource Development Centre (ERDC) – an institute of training and material development in Pakistan. Salman is a staunch critic of contemporary education system and an articulate advocate of natural learning. Salman has a dream to turn every school (and home) into a learning club where children could be trusted, owned and accepted unconditionally. His recent academic contribution is the Charter of Children’s Recognition which has been proposed to ensure insult-free education for every child.
Salman has received his education in Pakistan and specialized in Educational Psychology. He has traveled widely and studied the strengths and limitations of some of the best education systems of the world. His academic pursuits spread across psychology, education, sociology, religion, philosophy, literature, and science. During his extensive experience of over 22 years in the field of education, he has served the roles of a teacher, trainer, counselor, author and editor.
Salman Asif Siddiqui has over forty children’s books and teachers’ courses to his credit as author or editor. His books for children are taught in schools in Pakistan and abroad. He has conducted hundreds of training workshops for teachers, trainers, school heads, parents and students all over the country in association with several public and private institutions. He has spoken to educational forums in Pakistan, Europe and Middle East and worked for a number of leading national and international organizations. He has been invited by leading TV channels to talk on education and parenting. He has also received the Award for Professional Excellence from government of Pakistan.
Based on his extensive and rich experience of working with parents, teachers and children Salman has proposed a framework for holistic parenting which is consistent with our context and value system. His research work and ideas on parenting are being compiled in the form of a book ‘Five Dimensions of Holistic Parenting’.
Salman Siddiqui during his professional career has trained and developed a highly competent and dynamic team of master trainers, counselors and writers who work under his leadership at ERDC. He also initiated MBA Education Leadership Program at PAF-KIET University (in collaboration with ERDC) and has been the Head of MBA Education Leadership Program for eight years. He has also established an academic forum Hulqa-e-ghour-o-fikir which facilitates dialogical reasoning on tarbiya issues.

  1. I used to watch Qasim Ali Shah. Once he uploaded video in which he taught about the people he follows.After that I saw a video of yours and after that I am becoming a fan of you day by day. You are a diamond for our Muslim Ummah.
